Analysis of plant's compliance with environmental protection requirements (Borsky Glass Works, Nizhny Novgorod Region)
Job was requested by Sisecam and Citrus Partners companies with the purpose to obtain supporting materials for International Financial Corporation (IFC) to obtain loans for production development.
In the course of the performed analysis, SHANECO Group solved the following tasks:

Inspection of the Plant and primary analysis of documentation for rating environmental aspects of operations by their significance with the purpose of their prioritizing from the viewpoint of oversight and control;
- Assessment (qualitative, quantitative as necessary) of environmental impact level within the selected analysis coverage;
- Determination of degree of the Plant's compliance with Russian legislative and standard technical environmental requirements;
- Risk assessment of production operations connected to the current observance of environmental legal norms at the Plant, as well as impact on components of the environment, assuring environmental safety and sanitary and hygienic well-being in the area of the Plant location;
- Assessment of the need and feasibility of implementing the environmental measures aimed at reduction of man-made impacts on components of the environment;
- Determination of areas and ways for possible improvement of environmental activities of the Plant.
Besides evaluating the current situation and formal statement of compliance / lack of compliance of particular aspects of the Plant operations with environmental requirements, the purpose of the work is determination of guidelines for the Environmental Action Plan.
The results obtained by the compliance analysis created the basis for development of administrative documents aimed at optimization of environmental activities of the Plant and allowed composing the list of primary measures for mitigation of the current Plant's impact on components of the environment.
